What role did he play in German History?
When he had gained full power, he did things that pleased himself, not necessarily what pleased the country citizens. Most of his acts that he did were influenced by his racism. He was very racist against Jewish people and began passing laws that would hurt them and not others. An example is that he passed a law that didn't allow Jews to marry regular German citizens. The Jews could only marry Jews. Then he was also part of the holocaust, which killed 11 million people, were 6 million of them were Jews. Eventually in 1938, he wanted more. He thought that he could invade other countries, throw over their government system and take control. This along with other countries fighting's started World War Two. The official beginning of this war was 1939. After 6 long years of fighting and hiding from others Hitler came to a realization. By early 1945 he then began to realize all of the countries fighting in the war. He saw how powerful they were and that Germany would most likely not win, and he would be punished for all the crimes that he committed during his time of ruling. Hitler then realized that the Italian dictator had been assassinated. He did not want that to be him. Then on April 29, 1945 he married his long time girlfriend, Eva Braun. The next day they committed suicide together. This was when Germany left the long 6 year war, and when other countries began to celebrate.
